The Graphic Designer works within the Public Relations division. This division ****at GearUp Ghana is pivotal in sharing the organization's initiatives with stakeholders, ensuring they remain informed, educated, and encouraged to support GearUp's efforts.
About the Role
Qualifications
While qualifications are essential, what we prioritize most for success in this role are passion, commitment, and a genuine interest in this cause.
- Passion and Commitment: A genuine interest in the mission and vision of GearUp Ghana. An intrinsic drive to use visual storytelling as a means to make an impact
- Education: A Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Visual Arts, or a related field is preferred. However, candidates with significant demonstrable experience in graphic design are encouraged to apply, irrespective of their formal education.
- Experience: Proven experience in graphic design, with a portfolio showcasing diverse projects, especially in digital mediums.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in key design software, such as Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign) and/or Canva, and familiarity with web design tools. Experience with video editing software is a plus.
- Interpersonal Skills: Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with an ability to articulate design choices and collaborate seamlessly across teams.
- Brand Awareness: An eye for maintaining and reinforcing brand consistency across all visual assets.
- Availability: Capable of committing at least five (5) hours weekly.
- Creativity and Innovation: Ability to translate ideas and concepts into compelling visuals that resonate with our audience.
Primary Responsibilities
