- Education: A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Marketing, Public Relations, or a related field
- Experience: Proven track record in fundraising, partnership development, or similar roles.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in developing proposals and using partnership management tools
- Interpersonal Skills: Strong networking, relationship-building, and communication capabilities
- Integrity and Professionalism: Embrace and embody the values of GearUp, ensuring all processes and interactions reflect our core principles.
- Availability: Able to commit a minimum of eight (8) hours weekly.
Primary Responsibilities
Your role on the team will be highly instrumental to our success. As a Partnership Associate, you'll be instrumental in expanding GearUp’s reach and resources. Here is a scope of the responsibilities we expect you to fulfill;
Strategic Partnerships Development:
- Develop, oversee, and execute a comprehensive partnership strategy in alignment with GearUp's mission and goals.
- Cultivate and secure key strategic partnerships that not only generate funds but also save organizational resources by getting access to services, products, or platforms for free or at discounted rates.
- Establish collaborations with organizations and platforms we can join to benefit from discounts and offerings tailored for NGOs.
Leadership & Collaboration
- Lead and mentor the partnerships team, providing guidance and support to associates and other team members.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with other departments, ensuring that partnership opportunities align with organizational needs and deliver tangible benefits
Relationship Management:
- Establish and nurture relationships with partners, donors, and stakeholders.
- Ensure GearUp meets all obligations as stipulated in partnership agreements, maintaining trust and mutual respect.
- Address and resolve any concerns or challenges arising within partnerships, ensuring GearUp's reputation and commitments are upheld.
- Act as the main point of contact for partners and donors, proficiently relaying GearUp's mission, accomplishments, and needs.
Proposal and Agreement Oversight:
- Direct and oversee the development and submission of grant proposals, funding applications, and partnership agreements, ensuring alignment with potential partners and donors' objectives.
- Collaborate with various departments to craft compelling grant proposals and funding applications.
- Ensure all application deadlines are met and proposals resonate with donors' objectives.
