- Education: A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, or a related field
- Experience: Prior experience in program coordination, volunteer management, or a related field. Experience in an educational or non-profit environment is beneficial.
- Technical Skills: Competency in managing databases, scheduling software, and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite. Knowledge of interview techniques and career coaching methods would be advantageous.
- Interpersonal Skills: Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills. Ability to engage effectively with industry experts, volunteers, and program participants.
- Integrity and Professionalism: Embrace and embody the values of GearUp, ensuring all processes and interactions reflect our core principles.
- Availability: Able to commit a minimum of eight (8) hours weekly.
Primary Responsibilities
Your role on the team will be highly instrumental to our success. As the Program Coordinator for the GearUp Mock Interview Program, you will be pivotal in shaping the futures of undergraduates. Here is a scope of the responsibilities we expect you to fulfill;
Program Development and Management:
- Drive the recruitment of industry experts to serve as interviewers across various career tracks.
- Oversee the onboarding and relationship management of these interviewers, providing them with essential resources like interview questions and participant CVs.
Participant Engagement:
- Ensure regular take up of interview slots by the GearUp analysts.
- Facilitate feedback from interview sessions and guide participants with resources to improve based on this feedback.
- Collaborate with experts to integrate the feedback of each analyst in the subsequent interviews of that analyst by soliciting feedback on the noted areas of improvements
Collaboration:
- Liaise with the Miniship and Opportunities Department to ensure that GearUp analysts are well-prepared for potential opportunities.
Administrative Oversight:
- Maintain detailed records of program activities, interviewer participation, and participant progress.
- Regularly report to the Head of Miniship and Opportunities Department, providing insights and recommendations for program enhancement
